Raul Peralez is a lifelong resident of San José and is currently serving as the Councilmember for District 3, which encompasses the city’s Downtown core and surrounding neighborhoods.

Raul left his career with the San José Police Department after eight years, becoming the first active duty officer in the history of San José to be elected into public office. He continues to serve in a volunteer capacity as an SJPD Reserve Officer.

This forum is an opportunity for Raul to listen to the creative community, learn about the challenges we face – both systemically and in the wake of COVID – and discuss his thoughts on the importance of arts and culture in San José.
