Voter Guide – 2026 General What’s at stake for arts, culture, and the creative economy?
The final stretch of the 2026 election season is underway, and it’s time to flex your arts vote! In San José, three city council seats are up for grabs, local school board races are heating up, and voters have the power to decide the fate of local public transit agencies including VTA, Caltrain, and BART.
Before you mark your ballot, we want you to have a clear picture of what’s at stake for arts, culture, and the creative economy. That’s why we put together a guide to key local races and resources to help you make sense of all the rest.
We’re not here to tell you how to vote, but we’re ready, willing, and able to answer any questions you have. Don’t hesitate to reach out via email or social media @sanjosearts.
