Candidate Questionnaires 2024 Local Elections

In 2024, San José’s Mayor and five City Council seats (in even-numbered districts) are up for election, and there are competitive races for two Santa Clara County supervisor seats. This is our chance to have an impact on who makes the decisions on arts and culture policy at the city and county level.

With that in mind, SJAA developed a questionnaire that we shared with all of the candidates for these eight positions. Candidates were asked to respond to a number of questions about their backgrounds, viability, and positions on our top policy priorities.

We’re sharing their (unedited) responses in order for the San José creative community to get to know them and make more informed decisions with their votes. Just click on the candidate’s name below to download their questionnaire. (* denotes an incumbent in the office)
